he beginning of every new year inevitably brings with it new colors of the year, home design predictions and what to ditch from the previous years. Personally, I can't get enough of this kind of information!! I rounded up several articles, from a cadre of interior design experts, of the home decor trends to expect in 2017.
2017's home design trends are all about modernizing traditional designs with unique color, texture and material choices. If your home features a decorative sign that let's your friends and family know that you are in fact eating in a kitchen, it might be time to ditch the quote art. Industrial designs are also on their way out.
HOUZZ's 28 Design Ideas Coming to Homes Near You in 2017 is one of the longest and most sound lists I came across. We have seen several of these in recent years (I'm looking at you vanity conversion and contrasting islands), however I am excited you are here to stay! There are also tons of exiting new comers to the list! Hexagon back splash, graphic floor tiles, satin brass and walls of tile! I'm not quite sure what to make of Patone's verdant color of the year, but I bet it grows on me. My husband, not so much.
