Houston’s inner loop is leveling up its walkability game in a major way. The brand-new Uptown Memorial Park Trail & Bridge Project is officially a go, with construction starting in 2026. This highly anticipated $22 million project is set to transform how Houstonians walk, jog, and bike through the city, linking popular retail hubs with lush green spaces.

The Uptown Memorial Park Trail & Bridge project is a 1.2-mile scenic, elevated pedestrian and bike trail located in central Houston, designed to connect:
This trail system is part of the Memorial Park Master Plan and Houston’s growing investment in walkable urban infrastructure.
This trail is a major pedestrian and bike-friendly corridor linking Houston’s biggest shopping and dining districts with one of the nation’s largest urban parks:
